Blessed Trinity School First Aid / Basic Life Support/ Evacuation

SUMMARY REPORT

A three-day class on First Aid, Basic Life Support, and Victim Evacuation was held at the Blessed Trinity School of Las Piñas City, from Friday, February 06 to Sunday, February 08, 2015.

The school is the only private school in this city which has successfully elevated 14 scouts to the rank of Eagles in a span of two years. In fact, it is the only private school in the city with active Eagle Scouts. In all these instances, the club has been instrumental in helping them reach the coveted rank by providing them with trainings (First Aid/ BLS, rappel), hiking (Mt. Batulao, Corregidor) and community service (Dueg) opportunities.

The stay-in session was part of the this year’s Advancement Camp for members of the school’s scouting community..

In attendance were Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and Senior Scouts, numbering 24 in all.

Prexy Rey F. Cuyugan, was the Chief Instructor. Associate Jerry A. Belarde, also a club-rated Chief Instructor in the subject, provided technical assistance, particularly at the practicum level. Also on hand to support was Eagle Scout Alejandre Edwin C. Ravago, now a college student.

Gian Carlo V. Bufi served as auxiliary.

Also on hand to act as ‘victims’ during the event simulations/practicaum were five Senior Scouts, Eagles all: Leah Española, Ma.Theresa Montenegro, Luis Vicente Montenegro, Alessandra Noelle C. Ravago, Ma. Victoria Reyes.
