Club Funds

The club maintains six distinct fund titles. Except for one, each has set regular sources of funds. Lifetime membership fees are distributed as indicated but are kept in trust rather than in spendable cash or cash-in-bank form. Earnings of the trust fund (kaban tiwala), which are spendable unless plowed back into the trust fund, are distributed in the same proportion.

GENERAL FUND/KABAN PANGLAHAT:
Uses : May be used for any purpose, particularly those that do not fall into any specially funded category.
Sources: 50% of probationary membership application fees.
50% of regular membership fees.
50% of climb fees.
10% of training/class fees.
10% of fines and penalties.
100% of unallocated collections, donations or earnings.
MEDICAL EMERGENCY and SEARCH-and-RESCUE (MESAR) FUND/KABAN PANG-DAGLIAN PANGANGAILANGAN:
Uses : May be used to subsidize or pay for medical expenses related to, or arising as a consequence of, any club sponsored activity.
May be used to subsidize or pay for expenses related to, or resulting from, the club’s official participation in a Search- and-Rescue/Recovery operation, whether or not involving any club member as victim.
May be spent to maintain, keep up-to-date and upgrade, the club’s First-Aid and Medical Emergency Kit.

20% of fines and penalties.
100% of specifically identified collections, donations or earnings.
ENVIRONMENTAL FUND/KABAN PANG-KALIKASAN
Uses : May be used to support any activity focused on protection or restoration of the natural environment.
Sources: 25% of probationary membership application fees.
25% of regular membership fees.
25% of climb fees.
20% of fines and penalties.
100% of specifically identified collections, donations or earnings.
EDUCATION FUND/KABAN PANG-EDUKASYON
Uses : May be spent for the development, production and re- production of training materials and manuals.
May be spent for the purchase, design or development of training aids.
May be spent for any purpose directly related to the training activities of the club.
Sources: 40% of technical (rappeling, ropemanship, rock/wall-climbing) training/class fees.
70% of non-technical training/class fees.
100% of specifically identified collections, donations or earnings.
EQUIPMENT FUND/KABAN PANG-KAGAMITAN
Uses : May be spent for the purchase, design, development, manufacture and maintenance of technical equipment and facilities.
Sources: 40% of technical training/class fees.
10% of non-technical training/class fees.
100% of specifically identified collections, donations or earnings.
MEDICAL-SOCIAL OUTREACH FUND/KABAN PANG-KAGALINGAN LIPUNAN
Uses : May be spent to support medical-dental missions, relief or socio-civic operations.
Sources: 50% of fines and penalties.
